So the English have bad winters, or do we ?
Over the years I have been informed by Greeks many times about our
English weather. According to the Greeks we live in a swamp.
No doubt that opinion has been formed by almost every tourist
moaning about our weather.
I am going to let these photographs speak for themselves. Please
note the village names on the signpost on the first photograph.
Yes fellow tourists it does get a trifle damp around Sidari during
the winter months. Not only damp but hailstones, very cold winds
and rather quiet. Your intrepid reporter braved them all to bring you
these exclusive photo's.
Actually we were invited to a Greek wedding. We flew via Athens
and spent a day in the town. From Athens it was a turboprop job
to Corfu. Very comfortable aircraft, I think the pilot thought he was
Nigel Mansel as he taxied around the airport. I think he slowed
down to take off. Great fun.
As yet I have not added photo's of the wedding. A rather personal
thing. I can say that it was an experience that will live with us
Thank you Noula and family.
